The Opel Astra comes to your from the largest automobile company in the world - General Motors.
The Metro -4 model is the basic version of the Astra, and is powered by a 1.6 litre engine - 16 NZR, Tbi, inline transverse mounted.
The suspensions are independent, wishbone plus McPherson strut in the front, and compound link with double conical coil spring and torsion bar in the rear. Brakes are hydraulic, diagonally split, power assisted disc (front) drum (rear), asbestos free.
The car stresses on the comfort angle for both the driver and the passengers. The instrument panel is designed to wrap around the driving position to provide a user-friendly console. The trunk has ample luggage carrying space, along with a low loading aperture for ease of access. Moreover individually foldable rear seats allow variation of load space.
Safety features:
The Opel Astra incorporates some of the most advanced safety features in the world. The Opel was one of the first vehicles in its class to have side-impact protective bars as a standard feature. Integrated ramps in the seat frames prevent passengers from "submarining" under the seat belt in the event of a collision.
