The Santro has been designed in Korea by Hyundai's chief designer Park Jong-Suh. The distinguishing feature of the car is its unique "tall boy" design, which allows easy entry and exit. The high driving position, large windshield and the A-pillar slope allows greater all-round visibility. Apart from the above, the Santro has several features for comfortable commuting -

The car is powered by a 12V SOHC 1000 cc Epsilon engine. The multi-point Fuel Injection System with dual-intake valves feeds the right amount of fuel that the engine needs.
The Santro offers McPherson Strut Suspension in the front with stabiliser bar, offset coil springs and hydraulic dampers. In the rear you have torsion beam axle, 3-link coil springs and hydraulic dampers. The car has disc brakes in the front and self-adjusting drums in the rear with vacuum assisted booster.
