The Matiz is a multipurpose vehicle with an aerodynamic mono-volume styling, that makes the car sleeker and increases the stability.
Although the car is very compact the interior has been used very well and feels spacious.
The Matiz has won international acclaim - 'Most Beautiful Automobile' - Milan Show & 'Best Small Car' - UK Motor Show.
The modular seats are comfortable and can be folded, providing many options and possibilities to use the space inside. This gives the car versatility of a multi-purpose vehicle.
The driver's seat is high and the car has large glass area that affords good all-round visibility. With a turning radius of 4.5 mts. manoeuvring the car in nose-to-bumper city traffic and pulling in and out of parking spaces is a lot easier.
On the safety front, the car has a 2-stage bumpers to protect the bodywork and the passenger cabin. The sides are protected by side impact beams and the collapsible steering column breaks down, protecting the driver from chest injuries. The steel back panel on the rear seat protects rear passengers during rear accidents.
The car is powered by a 796cc engine that produces 52bhp with a torque of 7.3kg-m. The Multi-Point Fuel Injection system is coupled with 8-bit computerised Electronic Engine Management System to ensure a very high fuel efficiency without compromising on power, performance and reliability.
