The rugged version of its look-alike twin without the suffix, the CD100SS is designed for people who would live to take a bike over the rough-and-tough roadways of villages. It shares almost all components with the CD100, except for the additional reinforcement. With larger, reinforced shock absorbers, wider tyres, heavier body weight and engine guard, the Hero Honda CD 100 SS weights slightly more, resulting in some cut down in the fuel economy it offers. Some of the minor problems that the CD 1000 had, have been rectified in the SS model. A must for all those loyal fans of the Hero Honda CD 100 who wish to explore the rural outback of the country.
