Useful Makeup Tips
- Apply powder under eyes
before application of shadow
- Use lip pencil to fill lips
fully, then apply lipstick on top for a long lasting effect
- To give a lift to the brows
tweeze brows and apply highlighter in a V shape to give an arch
- Use bronzer all over face to
give a healthy glow. This can also be extended to shoulders and arms for an even tan.
- For a sheer healthy colour
use moisturiser with a
terracota lipstick and apply to the apples of the cheeks
- To open and enlarge eyes use
a lash curler on the top
lashes, then apply two coats of mascara
- To get three dimensional
lips :
- Apply medium tone lipstick
over lips
- Line lips with darker pencil
- And a highlighter to centre
of lips i.e. either a lip
shade or for evenings silver or gold could be used.
- Old lipsticks can be
revamped by cutting them out
of their case and putting them all into a paint
palette box. Itll be easier to choose your colours.
- To avoid mascara drying out
do not pump the wand
- Choose a foundation that is
more yellow/olive in colour, rather than a pink colour. Asians have a more yellow toned
skin colour.
- Always wash brushes in warm
water and soap. Lay them flat on a towel to dry. Be gentle with the brushes as the
bristles may loosen from the base.
- Apply eyeshadow for :
- a matte lipstick
- a highlighter on the
cheekbones
- For minimal make-up use only
cover stick and transluscent powder
- To thicken scanty brows, use
eyeshadow to fill brows
- For unruly brows, comb them
with a dry mascara.
- Use lip-base at all times
for an even long lasting
colour
- Sunscreens should be applied
ten minutes before
make-up and half an hour before stepping outdoors.
- To add fullness to the face
add rosy coloured blusher
on to the apples of the cheek
- To avoid smudging of the
eyeliner, always use waterproof eye make-up
- Always wear the make-up,
never let the make-up wear you.
