INVESTORS AWARENESS PROGRAMS |
The Exchange has conducted a number of Investor Awareness
programmes throughout the country. These programmes involve setting up of stalls,
disseminating information in the form of investor booklets, giving exposure to investors
on the various aspects of trading, settlements and investor rights and obligations.
NSE has conducted statewide investor programmes in Andhra Pradesh & Maharashtra in
1996 & 1997 respectively. These programmes involve audiovisual presentation and direct
interaction with the investors, solving the basic queries on stock markets, the
functioning of the financial markets and the role of NSE in the development of the Capital
Market.
NSE also made a video film clarifying the basic queries of investors that was shown at the
investor meet. At these fairs the Exchange also provides investors to have hands on
experience of its trading screens through its computer based training (CBT) in the form of
a CD-ROM.

Invest India Derivatives Week - 2000
Invest India is organising "The 3rd Annual Indian Derivatives Convention 2000" at the Oberoi Hotel, Mumbai on 03 - 06 July 2000.
UTI - ICM is organising the Fourth Capital Market Conference during December 21- 22, 2000.
Conference
The Exchange has in its short life span conducted, sponsored
& been associated with a number of exhibitions and fairs.
The Exchange co-sponsored the
Securities Industry Summit 1998 organised by Invest India at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai
on May 27th & 28th. The Exchange had put up a stall at the Trade
show displaying the Computer based trading (CBT) system, NSE Website and a presentation on
the Capital Market. A fairly good response was received from the audience (comprising of
FIs, MFs, Corporates, Brokers, Media and Investors) who attended the trade show.
The Exchange had co - sponsored the
Investfest 98 organised by Lamcon Vision, Pune in Dubai on May 29th & 30th.
The Exchange had put up a stall displaying the various products at the trade fair. The
response from the NRI community was very satisfactory.
NSE organised an Euroclear workshop on ‘Securities collateral lending’. It was conducted by Mr. Udo Jenner on June 23rd, 1998.
