Is Organizing A Theatre Festival
Celebrating its 20th year of working in Hindi Theatre, the
Ekjute Theatre Group is organizing a t
heatre festival called Ekjute Natyavasantin Bombay over a
period of 15 days. The event will be held at Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai. Eminent
personalities like Anupam Kher, Kiran Kher, Aloknath, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sarita Joshi,
Anita Kanwar, Satish Kaushik, Raja Bundela, Ravi Baswani, Kavita Chaudhary, Sushmita
Mukherjee and many others will be involved at various levels of the festival.
The events for the festival include the following:
Shows: Plays that will be performed are
Sandhya Chhaya, Baat Laat Ki Halaat Ki, Court Martial, Dayashankar Ki Diary, Sakubai,
Yahudi Ki Ladki, Dil Hi To Hai, Ballabhpur Ki Roopkatha, Bharam Ke Bhoot (Naacha) &
Begum Jaan.
Platform Performances: conducted at various
places for various colleges to
take part, including a competition.
Workshops: on art & craft, paintings, sculpting,
music etc.
Seminars: on various aspects of
theatre, including poetry, literature, works of various theatre persons whose
contributions need to be appreciated etc conducted by experienced & eminent theatre
personalities.
Exhibitions: of various aspects of different
productions of Ekjute over the period of years, covering miniature models of sets and
various costumes.

Souvenir: honoring the various people who have contributed tremendously to the
growth of Ekjute right
Full night programs of dance, music and poetry
by professionals in their respective field. The Full Night Programs could be have
Bhupen Hazarika, Sajan Mishra, Rajan Mishra, Ila Arun, Sharon Prabhakar. The Seminar would
be attended by eminent personalities like Javed Akhtar, Vijay Tendulkar, Badal Sircar,
Satish Alekar, Surendra Verma. Eminent theatre personalities like Shriram Lagoo, Sulbha
Desphpande, Habib Tanvir, Alyque Padamsee, Usha Ganguly, Giresh Desai, Shanta Gokhale,
Dolly Thakore and many other would grace the occasion. M.F. Hussain will design the cover
design of the souvenir and logo of the festival.
