Johannesburg - Computicket on Thursday announced that Opera
Nabucco, which was scheduled to be staged at the MTN Sundome on October 5, 6, and 7, has
been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
Fanie Schoeman, general manager of Computicket, said
about 3000 tickets had been sold.
"Our key concern right now is to ensure that
consumers who have bought tickets from Computicket, get their money refunded as quickly
and efficiently as possible," Schoeman said.
He said Computicket would reimburse all consumers in
full for tickets purchased through the Computicket call-centre, website or through
Computicket outlets.
The reimbursement process would begin on October 4.
"Ticket holders are advised to call a
call-centre number that has been specifically created by Computicket to deal with the
issue to ensure speedy resolution. All consumers ... should call 0839-15-15-15 or (011)
340-8001," Schoeman said.
Tickets holders who purchased tickets from the
organisers of the event through the Operama call-centre or corporate clients who purchased
tickets from Suzanne Weil & Associates would be advised by the parties in due course
how reimbursements would be made. - Sapa.
