It is celebrated during the seventh month of a woman's first pregnancy. Dressed in gold and silken clothes and wearing jewellery gifted to her by both her families, she receives flowers and gifts from her friends. Green and red are often the colours of this festive day. Her friends and other pregnant women are invited to a feast of her favorite food and small gifts are given to all of them. Seemant is variously called Oti Bharan, Pumsavana Seemantor Shaadh.
