Vedic Astrology is a noble science from the ages of Vedas. This was founded, investigated as developed by the maharishis of Vedic times. Among them Aryabhatta ,Maharishi Parashar,Varaha Mihira, garga,Kalidasa kalyan Varma are known for their contributions. The origin of this science can go back as old as 4000 years.

Planets:- Vedic astrology reckons only 9planets,Sun,Moon,Mars,Jupiter,Venus,Saturn and two shadowy planets Rahu (the dragon's head) and Kethu (the Dragon's tail). Stars :- The Indian School of vedic astrology recognizes 27 constellations from Aswini to Revathy. Signs :- the Planets move under 12 signs of zodiac covering the entire sky, from Aries to Pisces. In India various part of the country astrologers have their own methods of deriving astrological solutions.

It is very very unfortunate that we are using two words 'Vastu' and Architecture seperately and working on them seperately, eventhough in depth both words denotes the same meaning . Nowadays the great art of vastu is used as a mere belief system like, 'place the door here, you will become rich; place the kitchen there or else you will go bankrupt.' Vastu is not a belief system. It is an art.  It is nothing but architecture. Vastu can be said as highest form of architecture. Some say vastu is a Science. No it is more than science.  It is more of intution than science,  It is more of meditativeness than science.  To call vastu as a science is very very superficial. Vastu is something beautiful

Vastu is a transcendental space in which the designer disappears and through him the design is created.  The designer totally disappears as an ego.  The designer surrenders to the ultimate. The source of the design is beyond the grasp of our minds. The source is the God itself or call it totality or atman or almighty. The designer becomes a vehicle for that ultimate energy to flow through him.  All beautiful arts come from the beyond.  A dancer completely dissolves in the dance and the dance continues.  It is the dance of the ultimate itself.
A painter totally disappears in the moments and just give strokes as if he is possessed by some great higher self.  In that transcendental space, the dancer, or the painter or architect  are in great joy.  Ask any Painter or an Architect or a Dancer or an Artist; they will say that when they purposely sit to create something, things don't happen, but suddenly there are some beautiful moments when thinking stops, effort stops and creativity comes like a flow of stream.  and the results are wonderful.  We can give so many examples.  This space, this beautiful phenomenon, I call it as Vastu.

In India we can say so many marvelous temples as examples of vastu.  They are created by people who are of very high meditative state,   who surrendered themselves totally to the divine and the divine itself through them manifests as beautiful structures.  All beautiful structures are great ornaments on earth.    taj.Tajmahal is also a wonderful example which was created by a Sufi mystic.  The whole experience is a mysterious phenomenon and the person who dissolves in that mystery is a mystic. Taj-mahal is a beautiful structure of vastu.  You can't analyse taj-mahal by vastu rules & regulations.   If you compare the design of Taj-mahal with the rules and regulations of vastu you will notice so many dissimilarities.  The mistake is not in the design of Taj-mahal.  The mistake is in your analysis.  The mistake is in the rules and regulations.  In truth one should not stick to rules and regulations.  There   are no such rules and regulations in vastu.  Vastu is very very pure.  It gives ultimate freedom for the designer.  Beauty is born only in ultimate freedom. A beautiful structure like Tajmahal is a place where heaven and earth meet. The male counterpart and the Female counterpart of existence are in tremendous harmony.   That's what temples are all about. Temples are built by great mystic who are just vehicles of great spiritual energy. Temples are the place where the male counterpart (AKASHA),descends and meets the female counterpart MULADHAR (Earth or Boomi Devi) and out of that great love tremendous harmony is released.  The temples help people to make an inner unity of male and female in them.  So that their spiritual energy is awakened.  It is bhakthi yoga.  The Yogi totally surrenders to the God in the form of idol in the temple.

Some say vastu brings wealth, some say vastu brings success, some say vastu gives power, Fame.  No. Not at all  The Indian idea of wealth is totally different and beautiful. It is attaining the ultimate peak of life.  It is the purpose of life.  It is enlightenment.  Vastu is not against wealth or fame.  Wealth is needed.  Money is needed but it should not disturb the sleep.  With money one can buy bed but not sleep. In ancient India one is considered as a beggar even if he is rich or an emperor but not blissful, but not contented.  So contentment is the very purpose of Vastu.

And this is what architecture is all about. That is what the Chinese art of Feng-Shui is all about. An architect is a creator.  Since he creates, he becomes a part of a great creator, God.For this, he need not to be a degree holder or a diploma holder.  We have reduced the art of architecture  to mere degree and diploma course.  A course cannot give creativity.  A course can give knowledge.   It can show examples.  But can't make you creative at all.  Can someone induce creativity to people?  gopu1Creativity can be found in anyone.    Creativity can be found in a Degree holder  and in a Mason too, and I call the person an architect only if he has some creativity. A Mason may also be an architect if he has creativity.  But now the situation is rediculous.  Now the situation is if you are a degree holder you are a creative person and if you are not a degree holder you are not a creative person.  Isn't it an ugly situation?.  If degree is there, good, that has given good knowledge on the subject.   .  What is the point in considering other creative people as non architects?.  Creativity is the base.   Architecture is an art.  It cannot be validated by degree or diploma.   Vastu and architecture are nothing but different names representing the creativity that comes out through a creative person from the beyond, and that person is the ONLY ARCHITECT there is.  Other things like degree, knowledge are just secondary and silly.
